Asking Questions This will be more important as your child grows because they will stop talking to you. Asking questions will help you connect with your child. Observing Watching your child as they play with others, perform in school, and choose which people they want to be friends with will help you ensure your child’s safety. This will also help you learn more about your child. Being Active Taking an active role in your child’s life is one of the best ways to maintain a relationship with them as they grow. Taking them to practice, encouraging new activities, and going to parent-teacher conferences are ways to let your child know that you care.
