GRADE SCHOOL (1st -5th GRADE) When your child is young, they will still want to spend time with you. You should cherish this time and make sure that you spend enough time with your child during the day. This can include everyday activities, special outings, reading, and just talking. As your child passes each grade, more will be expected of them in terms of their education. They will be bringing home more homework and will need more help. Educational Learning Educational learning encompasses everything your child learns during the day while at school. Grade school will give your child a solid foundation for future learning. This is the times when math, reading, and comprehension skills are taught. You can help your child succeed by making sure they complete their homework, that they have what they need to bring to school each day, and asking them questions about what they are learning. Listening to your child talk will further communication skills. Children who know that there parents are listening are more apt to ask their own questions.
