Further education
THE FUTURE OF THE WESTERN EDUCATION SYSTEM As societies evolve, so must its educational system. As the United States becomes more technologically advanced, the education system must reflect these changes by teaching children how to use equipment and computers so that they will be able to survive in society. Teaching methods have changed over the years. Now it is the means by which the children are taught that must change. Since many households have computers, children are already exposed to them. In order to keep learning fun and exciting, technology should play a role in educating children. Interactive games, tutorials, and DVD’s are used to teach children. This means that teachers will have to be trained in new methods that will include computers and other devices in the classroom. This is not to say that traditional teaching methods such as lecturing, recess and other methods will disappear. Teachers will just have to incorporate new ways into their existing methods. As the education system in the United States enters a new era of technology, over population, and new challenges that will try the patience of educators, many schools have produced students that have gone on to college and are successful. This can happen for many reasons. Proper education, fulfilling home life, and a dedication to learning are what push people to succeed. The education system has gone through many changes over the years and it will continue to change as society changes. With new teachers, new methods of teaching, and new students to teach, the education system will have to meet many challenges head on in order to continue to educate future leaders and other successful people.
